As many of you know by now, the demand for Playing in the Sand 2022 has been unprecedented. The event is now sold out. For that reason we are exploring options that would allow us to satisfy as much of the demand as possible. These options include potentially adding an additional weekend of Playing in the Sand 2022.

We are working around the clock on this and promise you that we will do everything in our power to accommodate as many of you as possible for a safe and fun weekend of music and community in beautiful Mexico.

If you are interested in attending another potential weekend of Playing in the Sand, please join the waitlist now by selecting a package you would be interested in purchasing in the future. The Tixr system requires you to enter your credit card information to join the waitlist – your card will NOT be charged.
At this time the waitlist is open to the public, however certain room types may not be available for an additional weekend and as such cannot be waitlisted. If another weekend gets confirmed, we will reach out to waitlist members directly with more information.

The Moon Palace Cancún is comprised of four resort properties. Playing in the Sand guests can reserve a room at any of the properties below.

Please note: only guests who are staying at The Grand are permitted to access The Grand.
All guests have access to Sunrise, Nizuc, the Golf Course, and concert venue.

New for 2022: The concert venue is now located at the Moon Palace Sunrise beach on the North side of the property

At this time the waitlist is open to the public, however certain room types may not be available for an additional weekend and as such cannot be waitlisted. If another weekend gets confirmed, we will reach out to waitlist members directly with more information.

The only way to attend Dead & Company Playing in the Sand is by purchasing one of the all-inclusive packages on this site. Individual concert tickets will not be available. Packages are non-transferable and non-refundable. It is recommended that you consider purchasing travel insurance from a third party. If you are buying a package as a gift, please put the name of the recipient in the Will Call Name section during the purchase process. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase packages with special pricing available for children.

All packages are for one (1) to twelve (12) people and include:
- 4, 5 or 6 All-inclusive nights at the Moon Palace Cancún
  - All 4-Night packages check in on Thursday, January 13th and check out Monday, January 17th
  - All 5-Night packages check in on Wednesday, January 12th and check out on Monday, January 17th OR Thursday, January 13th and check out on Tuesday, January 18th
  - All 6-Night packages check in on Wednesday, January 12th and check out on Tuesday, January 18th
- Admission into the venue for each night of the show. Please note music starts on January 13, 2022!
- Airport transportation to and from the resort in exclusive Playing in the Sand event shuttles
- Official Dead & Company Playing in the Sand merchandise gift pack*
- New for 2022: $250 resort credit per package to be spent on spa, golf, or adventures. Must be activated through Moon Palace Guest Services at Check In

Guest Name Deadline and Fee

New for 2022 – All guest names for each package must be submitted within the Guest Dashboard by Monday, December 13th. After this date, there will be a $100 fee to add or change a guest name to your package for check in.

Children’s Packages

You can bring kids to Playing in the Sand, however, you will need to add them to your package during the purchase process. Infants (ages 0-3) are free, children (ages 4-12) pricing is listed HERE, and anyone 13 years or older at the time of the event is full price.

You will be able to add on any additional infants and/or children to any room-types that allow them during the purchase process, availability permitting. Please check the children’s occupancy grid HERE in order to make sure you choose a package that allows you to bring your desired family members.
A birth certificate/government-issued I.D. will be required at check-in for all children.

Please note: children will not receive merchandise as part of their Playing in the Sand package.

Health & Safety

CID Presents will closely monitor relevant recommendations and guidelines imposed by local authorities and The World Health Organization to ensure a safe experience for all guests. If, for circumstances outside of our control, it is deemed unsafe to produce this event, a full refund will be issued on the credit card used to purchase.
